     1. v. to swim
           昨日、私はジムで5キロ泳ぎました。 - Yesterday I swam 5 kilometers at the gym.
           ここで泳げる。 - We can swim here.
           泳ぐことができない。 - I cannot swim.
     2. v. to act freely while being monitored (in the possibility that one will do something incriminating); (used in the causative 泳がす、泳がせる)
           容疑者を泳がせる - to let a suspect swim → to monitor a suspect
